Testing the Systems

I’m feeling better now. I had another email in the queue but after the craziness of Wednesday I had to reset. I had to regroup. For a minute there, everything I value was in a spin and being stressed: my beliefs, my family, the health of a nation on so many different levels.

One thing that saddens me most is the Great Divide. It’s one thing to have different perspectives on blue and red, but quite another to feel that the very core of our country is corrupt with stolen elections and stolen courts. How do we reconcile that? How do we move forward together from such uncommon ground?

Hope is not enough when dealing with questions this complex.

But Radical Optimism helps. With Radical Optimism the call is pretty clear: we have to keep trying. We have to continue putting one foot in front of the other and do better work. There is a bridge that needs building, and we’re the ones to build it. Part of the answer of course is kindness and empathy, another is resolve.

Pick up a penny today and look at the back. There, shining in the light but often overlooked - E Pluribus Unum.

Out of Many, One.
