Juneteenth

There’s a perception out there that Happiness is a finite resource. So if you give some of that Happiness to Group A, you must by default be taking it from Group B (or some other group). This is the belief that life is a zero sum game.

There is another philosophy - that of Regenerating Abundance. This is the belief that more Happiness begets more Happiness begets more Happiness. If you are happy, you can make others happy, and the Law of Abundance continues to fulfill itself.

This is not an original or radical idea. But it is what I believe.

If a society, after hundreds of years of oppression, finally grants Freedom to Group A, it’s not taking anything away from Group B.  This misperception is what drives much of today’s animus. ‘You are taking something away from me’ is a driving fear that shapes much of our division - and our actions.

But it doesn’t have to be that way (and freedom isn’t ours to give in the first place.) We’ll find that the more we share, the more value we provide each other, the more gifts we give, will grow our collective opportunity and joy. Like space, it can extend everywhere and forever.

The Law of Abundance. Make the choice.
